For lovers or connoisseurs of good wine, the little Beaune is the starting point for a journey of tasty oenological discoveries. Surrounded by walls, the city retains its 13th century Saint-Nicolas Church and Hotel-Dieu, with its colorful tiles typical of the 15th century regional architecture, but it is wine, undoubtedly the largest local patrimony. Proud of its controlled denomination of origin, which bears the name of the municipality, it still produces a multitude of varieties of the drink and houses a material factory for viticulture, in addition to a school focused on the sector.

The wine capital of Burgundy, a French region renowned for its production of excellence, is situated on the Grands Crus route. A path that crosses the most prestigious part of the Burgundy vineyard, passing by 38 villages producing red pinot or white chardonnay. By car or bicycle you can do tastings and visit traditional wineries and vineyards. Many wineries have charming hotels in old stone buildings and restaurants overlooking a few miles of fine-quality vineyards.
