The typical regional dishes are numerous, in addition to Aligot, mashed potatoes with tomatoes and garlic, you can enjoy a Flaune, type of flan with a roquefort cheese mousse, sweet and perfumed with orange blossom, or even with a Tripoux , dish based on veal casings.
A small medieval village in the hinterland of France, which grew up around the impressive Abbey of Sainte-Foy. The construction of the middle of the 11th century and beginning of the 12th century, which made Conques known, is surrounded only by some well preserved historic houses and nature, creating the impression of going back in time or of being in a movie setting. Two halls of relics are open to visitors inside the abbey. The collection conserves a piece considered as the greatest medieval treasure preserved in France: the statue of Sainte-Foy, made of gold and precious stones.
